Kunstnerhuset in Svolvær has accommodated artists since the early 1950s. Today, we welcome artists from all over the world. In addition, we regularly organise our own residency programmes.
At Kunstnerhuset in Svolvær, you can rent a room for a few days, weeks or months, or take students with you and hold courses.
Kunstnerhuset is located right in the heart of Lofoten.
You are close to weather and nature, sky and sea - no one travels unaffected from here.
From the dining table in the living room at Kunstnerhuset, you can experience all four seasons while eating breakfast.
The artist's house has a long history that sits in the walls, and it is easy to find your way around. Here is room for you whether you want to gather material and inspiration, or need peace of mind.

We answer emails 2-3 times a week. Price list is sent out on request.
If for various reasons you can not send an email, you can call Nordnorsk Kunstnersenter on weekdays (Mon-Fri) between 09.00 and 15.00. There you can leave a message, and we will contact you within a few days.
