A Life With No Echo

Satirical and Existential Film Art
The exhibition A Life With No Echo centres around a film trilogy by the same name, consisting of the films A More Robust Sense of Identity (2014), An Emotional Sherpa (2015) and Closer to More (2016). The latter was shot this year, on location in Portugal and Tasmania.

The trilogy chronicle the main character Thor; a successful artist and self-proclaimed prophet, who has developed into the despotic centre of a surreal world devoted to self-fulfilment. Employing irony as well as affection, Luktvasslimo explores the flexible identity made possible by todays social media, underlined with a rich use of aesthetic and literary references spanning from theology and queer theory, to film, talk-shows and science fiction.
